Established in 1972, the Rugao Fiberglass Factory was the forerunner of our corporation. After two decades of expansion and a series of internal reforms, in 1994 we became a comprehensive group company; consisting of four joint venture enterprises and a real estate development sub-company.

Employing 2,000 personnel, of whom 420 are specialist engineers, we have total assets worth in excess of USD37,000,000. Moreover, with annual sales currently valued at close to USD50,000,000, more than 80% of all income is generated by sales to clients overseas markets. In 1996 we received authorization to conduct self-import/export, and in 1999 obtained government approval to set up our own trading company.

Now, the Rugao Fiberglass Factory is our core enterprise. A national middle-sized company, the Ministry of National Economy and Trade has designated this factory as a manufacturer of fiberglass geo-grids for use in domestic civil engineering. Having obtained ISO9001 certification in 1999, we regard technical improvement and development of high-tech value-added products as the best strategy for future growth. Consequently, we are now manufacturing more than 100 series of fiberglass and FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) products.

Among these items, a series of aviation-use fiberglass fabrics have been exclusively developed for the State Air Force Administration. These textiles have been extensively used in "Dongfeng" and "Changzheng" series space rockets, and we have subsequently received numerous awards from the central government, State Council and State Army Administration. Meanwhile, our sand mesh for use with grinding wheels has been listed as a new product in the national 慡tar Development Plan? 4 individual series have been appointed new state-level products, and another four have received patents.

To further improve our R&D capability, we are now planning to build a 10,000MT fiberglass manufacturing line. Additionally, USD243,000,000 will be invested in constructing the largest fiberglass production line in China; which will result in our company becoming one of the leaders in the domestic fiberglass industry.
